Dr. Mehdi Shemirani is a Senior Faculty in area of Mechanical Engineering at Engineering Unit of OE Division, NSRIC. He is also a senior consulting engineer, project-based consultant for international clients at TechNet Inc. Dr. Shemirani is a successful educator, and worked as the Chair of Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Department at ALHOSN University, UAE. He has long track record of teaching, and research in different universities, and organizations including Ryerson university, Canada. Dr Shemirani got both Ph.D. and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University, Canada, while obtained Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology from McMaster University, Canada. He also got the Mechanical Engineering Design Technologist from George Brown College, Canada. Dr. Shemirani have extensive research/design and development experience both academically and practically. He has had direct involvement in various product/project developments for industries in Canada. His research interests include crystal growth, nanofluids, and product design/development. His expertise in computer software includes Word, Excel, 2D and 3D CAD both for solid and fluid mechanical engineering.
He was the recipient of ABAT award for Industrial engineering program at ALHOSN University back in 2012. He has written several peer reviewed conference and journals papers.
