Shafiul Buiyan is the Professor of Practice in area of Biomedical Engineering at Engineering Unit of OE Division, NSRIC. He is also the Hiring Manager – Science Unit at CEO Office, NSRIC. Shafiul Bhuiyan has been a Canadian Profession Engineer since 2009 with a long work history in USA, Canada and Bangladesh as professional engineer and professor. He got his Masters and Bachelors degrees from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology Bangladesh, respectively. He has been working as an Engineering Project Manager for Medical Device companies since early 2019 in the USA. He was working as Senior Product Development Engineer, Project Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer for various Medical devices, Construction and Mining industries in USA and Canada where he achieved hands-on expertise on various fields of engineering, quality and manufacturing. His demonstrated expertise in various fields of engineering made him qualified for managing global engineering teams with multi million dollar projects in USA, Canada, EU and India. He served as an Assistant Professor of Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology in Bangladesh and Mechanical Engineer of Bangladesh Steel & Engineering Corporation where he got the opportunity of gathering expertise on hands-on engineering and teaching in engineering university. In his professional career, he achieved outstanding skills and expertise in various fields of engineering including design, quality, manufacturing, engineering management and so on. Currently, he is managing a global engineering team where stakeholders are from different places of USA, Canada, China, EU and India for the entire product lifecycle including feasibility study, conceptual design, detailed design, verification & validation, design transfer, process qualification, process validation, product marketing and post market surveillance.
He is recognized as one of the medical device experts in North America. He has published many articles in different reputed journals and conferences.
