Dr Poonam Arora is a Associate Vice-President of Marketing Division, NSRIC. She is also a distinguished faculty in the area of Human Resource Management at Commerce and Management Unit of Online Education (OE) Division, NSRIC. She is the Chairperson of Workplace Harassment Committee at a National Print Media organisation and at Dynamic Aura. She is the Advisory Board Member of Sports Academy Association of India, which conducts MBA Program in Sports Management. She has worked for over thirty years as a Professor, Research Chair, HR Head, Director, and Principal for various Universities, including IP University, New Delhi, Dhofar University, Salalah, Oman, ITERC, U.P and Jamia Millia Islamia University. She accomplished Research projects as a Project Director at Sarojini Naidu Centre for Women’s Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. Dr.Arora has diversified experience of Academic Management, Teaching, Consultancy, Training and Administration roles. She has taught papers in Management, Social work and HRM for MSW, MBA, MA(HRM), BSW and B.E Programs. She received the Senior Fellowship of the University Grants Commission for Ph.D, a major National funding organisation for promoting academic research. She also received the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Award for publishing a Book on Professional Women. She worked as a Consultant for United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
She worked for various International NGOs in the area of women and child empowerment such as Christian Children’s Fund Inc. and All India Women’s Conference. Her expertise lies in the area of Management, HRM and Social Work. She has published two books and articles in research journals. She closely worked with various Ministries, government departments to secure Funding for developmental and socio-economic projects.She has intensive Social Work and Counselling experience. She secured extensive funding to the tune of several millions for socio-economic developmental programs from Ministry of HRM and its various departments, Environment and Energy Conservation, Petroleum and Natural Gas, NWDB, PCRA, CAPART, NIPCCD. She has been awarded trophies and mementos for her contribution in academics.
